When does therapy help?
-
If recurring fears, sadness, or insecurity burden you
-
If you keep getting stuck in similar problems and your previous attempts to solve them are not enough
-
If you are in an acute crisis
-
If a physical illness or health worries also affect your mental health
-
If you are ready to take action and change something in your life
I treat the entire spectrum of mental disorders based on scientific evidence using systemic therapy methods. The spectrum of mental disorders includes, among others: Affective disorders (e.g. depressive disorders) Anxiety disorders (e.g. panic attacks) Obsessive-compulsive disorders (e.g. control and order compulsions or intrusive thoughts) Reactions to acute stress (e.g. separations, losses or stress-related disorders) Post-traumatic stress disorders Eating disorders Schizophrenia and delusional disorders in the post-acute phase (e.g. after medication) Sleep disorders (e.g. difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep or nightmares)
What is the psychotherapy process?
How long does the therapy process take?
-
As short as possible, as long as necessary
-
Psychotherapy is an individual process that takes place in a time frame specifically tailored to you
-
Sometimes just a few sessions are enough to solve your problem
-
Sometimes long-term support is required
-
We decide together when and how often appointments will take place – typically, regularly recurring appointments are arranged
-
A single session lasts 50 minutes
-
Our sessions can also be held online by arrangement
What are the costs?
As a private practice, billing through statutory health insurance is not possible.
Please contact your private insurance provider in advance to find out the details of your individual insurance tariff.
Privately insured and
"Beihilfeberechtigte"
Private health insurance companies and health insurance subsidies ("Beihilfe") usually cover all or part of the costs of psychotherapeutic treatment. The amount of reimbursement and the number of sessions covered vary, however, depending on the health insurance company and individual insurance tariff. Be sure to check with your insurance company before starting therapy: What services are covered and what is the level of reimbursement? Is it necessary to apply for psychotherapeutic treatment with your private health insurance, and if so, in what form? Is there a maximum quota of reimbursable psychotherapeutic services? If necessary, have the relevant forms for applying for psychotherapy sent to you. The costs for psychotherapy in my practice are based on the fee schedule for psychotherapists "Gebührenordnung für Psychotherapeuten" (GOP)
Self-Payers
You can choose to cover the costs of your therapy yourself. This has the advantage that treatment can begin quickly and unbureaucratically, as there is no need to apply for reimbursement of costs or make a diagnosis for the health insurance company. In this case, neither your insurance company nor any other institution will be informed that you are undergoing psychotherapeutic treatment. In this case, you can also decide for yourself how long the therapy should last and how often sessions should take place, regardless of the health insurance company's requirements. The fee is based on the fee schedule for psychotherapists "Gebührenordnung für Psychotherapeuten" (GOP) and is €134.06 per individual session (50 minutes). Treatments for mental illnesses are exempt from sales tax in accordance with Section 4 No. 14 UStG. Of course, even if you are legally insured, you have the option of using the services as a self-payer. As a self-payer, it may be possible to claim the costs for psychotherapeutic treatment as a tax deduction in your tax return in accordance with Section 33 EStG (extraordinary expenses).
